About Whitley Lassen

Hi, I’m Whitley Lassen, a psychologist in Colorado. I believe you can learn to manage your symptoms and live a life of purpose and meaning. At the end of our work together, you’ll be like your own therapist—able to identify your symptoms ahead of time and use the coping skills you’ve learnt.

I have over 15 years of experience treating clients with anxiety and panic and have helped thousands of clients. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Panic Disorders, Anxiety, Worry and Phobias. Please know that you have an expert supporting you when you see me for therapy.

Are you ready to join others just like you who’ve taken control of their panic attacks? Who aren’t restricted by their phobias any longer? Who have relief from the daily burden of living with anxiety?

Using evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I help my clients identify goals and work through a specific treatment plan focused on meeting those goals. In working with me, you will learn coping skills and strategies to understand the interaction between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. At the end of therapy, you will have the ability to tackle challenges like you are your own therapist.

I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia, where I also completed a master’s in Elementary Education. Graduating in 2011 from an APA-accredited program, I received my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. Most recently, I earned an MBA in Business Administration, with a concentration in Healthcare Administration, from the Linder College of Business at the University of Cincinnati.

I have worked in residential, partial hospital program, intensive outpatient program, and outpatient settings in large hospital systems, medical clinics, and group practices. I have experience with individual therapy, group therapy, psychological assessment, and crisis interventions. Working with a variety of clients, I have helped clients dealing with depression and mood concerns, grief and bereavement, stress and burnout, worry and anxiety, fears and phobias, life transitions and identity questions, as well as chronic pain.

I specialize in using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to treat anxiety disorders including anxiety, worry, health anxiety, social anxiety, obsessions and compulsions, panic attacks, and specific phobias. I also see clients dealing with women’s health issues, postpartum depression and anxiety, perinatal loss, chronic illness, and chronic pain. I provide teletherapy sessions in many states, and in person sessions in Boulder, Colorado.

When I’m not providing therapy, I enjoy meditation, running and hiking, reading, and spending time in nature.
