Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a powerful tool we can use to understand and change the patterns that might be holding you back. In our sessions, we'll work together to explore the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By identifying any negative thought patterns and beliefs, we can develop new, healthier ways of thinking and coping. This can lead to improved emotional well-being and more effective ways of dealing with life's challenges.

CBT is an evidence-based approach to therapy, which means that its effectiveness has been scientifically proven through research and clinical studies. So, when you choose CBT, you can trust that it's backed by concrete evidence showing its effectiveness in helping individuals like yourself manage and overcome their anxiety.

It’s important to understand that CBT is a skills-based approach to therapy, which means that you’ll learn specific skills and strategies to change your thoughts and behaviors, therefore reducing your anxiety.  As with any new skill, CBT works best with consistent practice.  In between sessions you’ll be asked to do homework, meaning practicing the skills you learn.  The more effort you put into consistently practicing the skills, the sooner you’ll see results.

Whether you're experiencing anxiety, worry, phobias, or panic attacks, CBT offers practical skills and strategies to help you live a meaningful life.
